TADA! Youth Theater will continue its 25th anniversary season in 2010 with three original family musicals.
B.O.T.C.H. (January 15 - February 15) is a jazz-styled musical that follows the underground journey of artistic rats, dancing mummies, and the kids of B.O.T.C.H. who lurk under the New York City subway system. It features book and lyrics by Jon Agee, music by Daniel Feigelson, and will be directed by Janine Nina Trevens.
Wide Awake Jake (April 16 - May 23) is the story of a young boy who simply can't fall asleep, and the adventures he encounters on his quest for slumber. It has a book by Alice Elliot, music by Robby Merkin, lyrics by Faye Greenberg, and will be directed by Janine Nina Trevens.
The Magic Pot: Three Tales from China (July 9-August 4), co-commissioned with the SteppingStone Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, will make its New York premiere as a young girl finds herself in the middle of ancient tales, and her own extraordinary adventure, that teach her about life, honesty, and true happiness. The piece features book, music and lyrics by Dane Stauffer, and will be directed by Janine Nina Trevens.
In addition, TADA! Will offer The Sneak Peak: A Musical Revue (November 13 at 7pm and November 14 at 1pm), which will preview the upcoming slate of musicals.
